Abstract

|
To relieve the chronic severe pelvic pain 225-450 mg, of phenol in iophendylate (Pantopaque.... 3 cc) was injected intrathecally to 10 patients (9 cases of carcinoma of cervix and one case of pelvi fracture). Of the 10 cases, 3 cases had complete relief of pain, 4 cases had a fair result after injection It was concluded that this procedure was quite simple and worthwhile to try on patient suffering from severe pelvic pain.
